    Gold Strike Hot Springs

    June 20, 2019 /

One of the coolest adventures that we did on the outskirts of Vegas was the hike to Gold Strike Hot Springs. This hike is in Boulder City, about 45 minutes from the Strip. This hike had it all: beautiful scenery, boulder scrambling, ropes to repel down, hot springs, and a cold river!

    Exploring The Wind Caves

    December 20, 2018 /

Right outside of Anza Borrego State Park in the Yuha Desert, we did a 5 mile hike to some incredible wind caves! You can see the first of the wind caves up close when you get to the top. These caves were formed from years and years of wind erosion. The wind has hollowed out caves in the sides of the surrounding mountains.

    Exploring Ding and Dang Canyons

Ding and Dang Canyon is an adventurous nine mile lollipop that enters one narrow canyon before exiting and following the next canyon back to the same turn off. We couldn't wait to see the geology, narrow slot sections and obstacles this trail had to offer!

Exploring Diablo Canyon in New Mexico

    January 4, 2018 /

To get to the Diablo Canyon free camp spot we drove (slowlyyy) for seven miles down a very bumpy but well maintained road. It felt like we were driving on cattle guard the entire time. After shaking up the house real good we finally made it! We got there after dark but easily found a spot to camp. When we woke up the next morning we were greeted with an amazing view of Diablo Canyon! The canyon was gorgeous, the camping was free, and there was only on other couple at the ‘campground’.
