Yup! Pump Track in Seattle | Unique and Fun Longboard Experience

The new pump track in Seattle is called Yup! Pump Track, and it’s unlike any other track we have seen! Whether you ride a longboard, skateboard, scooter, bike, quad skates or any other wheels, you’re going to have fun here! I really enjoyed longboarding the Yup! Pump Track in Seattle because the transitions are smooth in every direction and it is such a unique environment!

First Impressions of the Yup! Pump Track in Seattle

When we first arrived, I had no idea what to expect. From the street parking it looks like you’re just going to walk through some bushes and go under the highway overpass. But then I saw the entire complex from the top of the hill above, and I was pumped to be here!

Pros: Smooth transitions, no track just a free flow pump park.

Cons: Couldn’t find anything to complain about… but I don’t think there are any lights for night time.

Know Before You Go: The pump track is just a small part of the I-5 Colonnade Mountain Bike Skills Park built by Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance. There are several other urban mountain bike trails and obstacles here plus a off leash park for the pups.

Riders Thoughts: Yup! Pump Track in Seattle, Washington

The Yup! Pump Track is unlike any other track we have ever seen! There are a few reasons for this but the most noticeable and memorable feature is that the entire pump track is under a bridge and intertwines with the concrete columns that hold up the interstate. This environment alone sets a really unique vibe that made longboarding here a lot of fun!

One of my favorite features of the Yup! Pump Track in Seattle is the fact that there is not really a track to follow at all. The entire area is filled in with asphalt, which provides riders with the freedom to go where ever you want! While longboarding this pump track I found that this freedom really allows the rider to get creative with their lines and take turns in new ways. I could skate here for an hour and not do the same loop twice.

Although there is no set track, this pump track in Seattle definitely has a downhill orientation. The track starts on the top of the hill with a very mellow almost flat area that is great for beginners. It then transitions to some larger rollers, banks, and berms that intertwine with the pillars as you go downhill.

The entire area at the Yup! Pump Track has smooth transitions that go in every direction. Even the large wall creates a huge waterfall style roll in that I was able to longboard down in any direction. This really allows you to start riding from wherever you want and go in whatever direction you want.

The image below shows how unique this pump track environment is. I think the ability to carve between the pillars make this track unlike any other!

Longboarding this pump track was a blast, and having the right equipment helps! I highly recommend one of our custom Loaded Vanguards and soft wheels for this environment!
