Hiking and Camping at Fossil Falls
As you're travelling along an undeveloped portion of the US-395 between Ridgecrest and Lone Pine, you can't help but see the towering wall of the Sierra Nevadas to your west. But to the east there is a less obvious yet stunning geologic feature called Fossil Falls.

Checking Out Big Timber Montana
After camping near Red Lodge, hiking to Mystic Lake and longboarding Beartooth Highway we continued west through Montana. Next stop was Big Timber Montana, a small town just south of the Crazy Mountains.

Belgrade Skatepark in Montana
The Belgrade Skatepark is a compact skatepark located in Belgrade Montana. This park is a quick and compact cement skatepark set up great for pop kick tricks. The steep ramps on either end of the park establish a kind of back and forth flow to the park. There is a perfectly set up pyramid ramp/box/rail in the center of the park that is great for tricks in either direction.

Hiking to Owens Peak in the Southern Sierras
Owens Peak is a prominent peak in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountain Range near Ridgecrest, California that stands at 8,453 feet. There are two different routes for hiking to Owens Peak and both gain substantial elevation, making the views from the top that much more rewarding!

Skatepark in Ridgecrest, California
The Ridgecrest Skatepark is relatively small with smooth cement. Although the skatepark is small, there are a lot of obstacles to explore as well as lines to be found for cruising around and surfing the banked turns.

Camping at Trona Pinnacles
Hidden in an area seemingly in the middle of nowhere between the southern tip of the Sierras and Death Valley National Park lie the Trona Pinnacles. Trona Pinnacles are giant spire-like geological formations known as tufas. It is amazing how they tower about the desert floor and it is even more amazing that the area was completely underwater at one time!

Bozeman Skatepark Montana
The Bozeman skatepark in Bozeman Montana is a great skatepark for skateboards, bxm, scooters, and longboards! This smooth cement skatepark has a great flow with steep roll in areas, great for a rider of any age or any skill level. The skatepark features vert, bowl, and street riding all in a well planned compact area.

Hiking Sacagawea Peak
Sacagawea peak is known for being the tallest peak in the Bridger Range of Montana. The mountains make a beautiful backdrop the the city and the trailhead is a hour from Bozeman, making it the perfect get away for someone trying escape the city. Hiking Sacagawea peak trail is a rewarding hike with great 360° views from the top.

Longboarding Hyalite Canyon
Hyalite Canyon is a windy mountain road just south of Bozeman, Montana that leads to the Hyalite Reservior. The moderate amount of traffic and the beautiful scenery made a perfect setting for a fun longboard run. The lush Montana forest surrounds both sides of the pavement for the entire ride down the mountain.

Camping Near Bozeman – Hyalite Canyon
A quick half hour drive from Bozeman will lead you to the mouth of beautiful Hyalite Canyon. From here you'll meander along the curves of Hyalite Creek as it snakes through the pretty forested canyon. Turn onto Jeep Road and notice the numbered designated Forest Service camp sites.
