Crested Butte Camping (Free!) | Kebler Pass Camping

    October 13, 2021 /

With the major task of replacing the roof on our travel trailer out of the way, we were ready for some Colorado adventures! And we set off to find free camping near Crested Butte so we'd have a good home base for exploring the beauty in the area. So from our camp spot in Montrose, we headed up to Kebler Pass Road. It was exciting to watch as the scenery transitioned from dry and shrubby to green and mountainous! And we found some great dispersed camping options in the area.

Leadville Skatepark | Highest Concrete Skatepark in America

    September 21, 2021 /

The Leadville Skatepark is awesome and is located in Leadville, Colorado which is the highest incorporated city in America. Leadville sits at about 10,151 feet elevation making the Leadville Skatepark the highest concrete skatepark in America. Just a fun fact. But elevation aside, this is a very large cement skatepark with great flow and a ton of great obstacles. The large vert and smooth transitions make the Leadville Skatepark a great place for longboarding in a skatepark.

Montrose Skatepark in Colorado | Baldridge Park

All throughout the skatepark you'll find smooth transitions, banked turns and tall vert walls that are great for riding a longboard in a skatepark. These large features make this skatepark a lot of fun for experienced riders because you can generate a lot of speed and take advantage of the great flow. Hiking to O’Leary Lookout | Flagstaff, AZ

    September 6, 2021 /

Just north of Flagstaff is a super interesting landscape shaped by volcanic activity. For an excellent vast view of this volcanic landscape and to get a glimpse into the top of Sunset Crater itself, hiking to O'Leary Lookout is a must. O'Leary Lookout is just outside of Sunset Crater Volcanic National Monument so there is no entrance fee and the trail is lightly trafficked. Besides the great panoramic views and steep workout, visiting the fire lookout tower at the top is a rewarding perk of the climb!
