Our Experience Longboarding in Grass Valley

After the skatepark, we checked out the nearby neighborhood that looked good for longboarding in Grass Valley. Although this longboarding spot is only a few blocks, the roads are smooth, downhill and the traffic was light so it was a chill spot to skate. The road in this neighborhood is called Scotia Pines Circle. And the entire circle is on a hill making two different runs from the top of the hill. The hills are not huge, but they are still pretty fun and riders can definitely build up some speed.

One side of the hill is steeper and shorter than the other side making for a fast but short hill before leveling out. The other run is a little bit longer, but not as steep. I was careful skating on this side of the hill because traffic does not stop at the intersection at the bottom of the hill.

At the bottom of the hill the name of the road changes from Scotia Pines Circle to Walsh Street. Then the road goes uphill in the other direction. I experienced more traffic on this hill and there are a few four way stop signs too. These can totally disrupt the flow of the run.
