Riverbank Skatepark – Central California Skatepark

As we were checking out skateparks in Central California, our next stop was the Riverbank Skatepark. The Riverbank Skatepark is a medium sized skatepark located in Riverbank, California. Here you’ll find a nice variety of street skating features and obstacles. This clean and compact skatepark is a fun park that provides a good atmosphere for a quality skate sesh.

First Impressions of the Riverbank Skatepark:

Pros: Plenty of features for street style skaters, one large bowl

Cons: Not great flow, no vert

Know Before You Go: Bathrooms, benches, and picnic tables are available at the skatepark.

Riders Thoughts:

The Riverbank Skatepark has a nice, smooth cement surface featuring a number of different ramps and a few different transition types.

There are a number of flat ramps mixed with a bunch of cement boxes all around the park. Along with these cement boxes, riders will also find several rails as well as a few different sets of stairs. These obstacles are set up ideally for street skaters.

The shape, features and flow of this particular skatepark is not great for longboarding, but since we were here already, I had to give it a go! The Riverbank Skatepark has one bowl that’s pretty big with a simple rounded rectangle shape.

This bowl is mostly surrounded in coping, with the exception of one roll in area which helped me cruise into the bowl with my longboard.

This areal view gives a good perspective of the entire Riverbank Skatepark. Along with all the skating features, you can see the picnic tables and spectator area by the trees on the left.

Overall, the Riverbank Skatepark is a good skatepark for street riders and street style tricks. Riders of any experience will be able to have fun here, but people looking for vert might want to look at some other skatepark in the Modesto area.
