Stanwood Pump Track and Skatepark – Heritage Park – Longboarding WA

Both the Stanwood Pump Track and the Stanwood Skatepark are located inside the larger Heritage Park and provides a fun place to spend some time on your wheels! I really enjoy riding my longboard on the pump track, but you can enjoy scooters, skateboards, roller skates, bikes, and more at this park. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, you’ll enjoy your time here!

Know Before You Go: The pump track is one of the first of recent additions to the Heritage Park in Stanwood, Washington. There is also a dog park, pickleball court, a new playground, and more. There are no lights at the skatepark or pump track, but the park is still under construction so they might put them in.

Riders Thoughts – Stanwood Pump Track:

My style of cement surfing with the longboard translates well onto the asphalt of a Velosolutions Pump Track, and the Pump Track in Stanwood Washington is no exception. This pump track is flowy, smooth, and fast!

There are no directional arrows but the shape of the Heritage park pump track is good at keeping the traffic flowing in the same direction (when its busy). Many of the rollers and humps are tall at this track, which makes it easy to build speed without much effort. The soft grass provides a soft crash pad compared to some of the more dangerous pump tracks we’ve seen.

The banked turns at the Stanwood pump track are pretty steep and tall. These features in the turns help riders maintain control when moving fast, but these turns can look pretty intimidating to novice riders on the track. Like most Velosolutions Pump Track, the banked turns here have a flat surface on top which can make the turns easy at a slow speed.

This Washington pump track has a couple unique features that are shared with the Port Angeles Pump Track. This pump track and The Port Angeles Pump Track both have a stand alone bowl pocket! The bowl here is much steeper with more harsh of a transition, but the whole pump track is a little more steeper here. Just like the Port Angeles Pump Track, this one also has a skatepark right next to it!

Riders thoughts – Stanwood Skatepark

My style of cement surfing on the longboard kind of limits what I can do in the street section of a skatepark, so there is not a lot that I was able to do at the Stanwood Skatepark. But if your a street skater, you will really the features in the skatepark. The skatepark features a mix of concrete features and metal modular features.

Skaters will find ramps, quarter pipes, boxes, stairs, rails, and gaps. The Stanwood skatepark even has a half pipe!

My favorite features of the skatepark is the giant skateboard ramp! This is a unique feature that gives a playful vibe to to skatepark.
