Rotary Skatepark and Pump Track in Bernalillo, New Mexico

The Rotary Skatepark and Pump Track in Bernalillo is a great skate spot! The features here are good for riders of all ages and abilities. I had fun longboarding in New Mexico as soon as we got here! Having both a skatepark and a pump track right next to each other is really the best of both worlds!

First Impressions of Bernalillo Pump Track and Skatepark:

As soon as we pulled up I knew this was going to be a fun place to spend a few hours. Having the ability to transfer from a pump track into a skatepark and then back in the same line is always a good time.

Pros: Smooth and fast pump track plus a street oriented skatepark.

Cons: No lights, and the park closes at 5pm in the winter and 7pm in the summer… That seems early to close a public park… I don’t how strictly these rules are enforced.. but the signs seem pretty legit.

Riders Thoughts of the Skatepark and Pump Track in Bernalillo:

The Bernalillo Skatepark is a fun little park with really smooth concrete and a ton of obstacles. Inside this compact skatepark riders will find a little bit of everything and a variety of transitions.

Some of the features you will find include a concrete half pipe, a variety of rails (round and flat), boxes with metal ledges, and a few stairs. Along with all these street features is the smallest cradle I’ve ever seen! Standing, I could reach the top… which means that when you’re in it your head is almost on the ground?! That’s a very fast and sharp turn, I messed with it but never really worked up the courage to send it in the cradle.

The back wall has a variety of heights with ledges that have coping. The wall has a smooth transition to the next level, which was fun to skate up and down with the longboard.

Having the skatepark connected to a pump track is a great idea! This facility was made in 2022 and was the first of its kind in New Mexico and they did a great job with it. This another quality velosolutions pump track, fast and smooth!

Below is a great aerial photo of the entire facility and me longboarding on the pump track. The connecting area between the pump track and skatepark is by the bike guy. The layout of this pump track provides riders with plenty of places to cross over and take turns in any direction.

The size and smoothness of the rollers here are great for building speed and going fast! I think this is a great pump track for longboarding.

This is a great facility, and it would be easy for any experienced skater to spend a few hours here having fun. For me, longboarding the pump track is definitely the highlight of this complex.

I like how smooth the track is and how easy it is to cross over and switch the direction of your flow.
