What is Double Carve Surf Skate Technology?
What you’re looking at is: The Double Reverse Kingpin Longboarding Truck or DRKP! This patented Double Carve technology adds an additional kingpin and bushing set to the normal reverse kingpin longboard truck. This patented Double Carve technology provides two adjustable pivot points which will transform any longboard into the ultimate carving machine! This system is the perfect co-evolution of surf skating and longboarding. This system maintains the feeling of pumping your regular reverse kingpin trucks at high speeds AND allows for the improved turning radius and responsiveness of a surf skate system.

A huge plus to our premium surf skate system is the fact that there are TWO adjustable bushing pivot points that allow the rider to customize the surf skate effect on their trucks.
Riders can easily adjust their trucks from being a very solid and stable downhill truck, to a very loose and carvy surf skate truck. This component will unlock unknown versatility of your longboard and will also provide short board riders with the most stable surf skate system on the market. Another HUGE benefit of this system is that it provides riders with the ability to propel themselves without having to kick the ground. This is done by providing a very tight turning radius in combination with the super rebound of 4 barrel bushings (the only truck in the world with this ability) which turns your board into the ultimate pumping machine.
A unique feature of the Lost Coast Longboarding Premium Surf Skate System is the fact that these trucks go on BOTH sides of your board! Other surf skate systems on the market have a surf skate truck on the front of your board, and a standard truck on the back of your board.
Our system is symmetrically balanced by having the stable surf skate component on both ends of your board. This allows you to ride the board backwards or switch without issue. Many surf skate systems feel unstable at high speeds and very squirrely under your feet while kicking to go fast. The use of a reverse kingpin truck keeps the entire system very stable; which sets this system apart from other surf skates. The low and wide truck set up keeps the platform stable at high speeds, and also when flat land kicking.
Installing the Double Carve System
The Premium Lost Coast Longboarding Surf Skate System is pretty easy and straight forward to install. The system comes with a set of DRKP trucks that bolt to your skateboard right where your existing trucks would go. The system is designed to be installed with a 14.5º angled wedge riser which aligns the trucks to the correct position.
Another great feature of the Double Carve Surf Skate System is that you can purchase and add a Double Carve Adapter set to your existing pair of Reverse Kingpin Trucks. The Adapter kit comes with all the additional pieces you will need to convert your current reverse kingpin trucks into a Double Carve Surf Skate System!
Skating with Double Carve Surf Skate System
The Premium Lost Coast Longboarding Surf Skate System featuring Double Carve Technology unlocks unknown potential and abilities of any longboard! When the system is installed on your longboard you will immediately notice that your longboard is much more responsive and much more maneuverable. Your turning radius will dramatically improve and the ability to propel yourself by pumping your body weight will be noticeably more possible.
Most surf skate systems allow riders to quickly accelerate and propel themselves without having to kick. But all of these systems seem to “max out” the speed you can skate at. This is because the systems are made to be responsive but become unstable at high speed. It can make the board to feel very “squirrely” or “wobbly” beneath the riders feet. This will cause riders to feel VERY unstable and limited, but the Double Carve system is different! Having two pivot points allows for the system to be very responsive, but the 4 barrel bushings and reverse kingpin trucks keep the system stable at high speeds. This allows riders to make the small quick pumps to quickly accelerate and also gives rides the ability to widen and deepen those pumps past the ability of other systems.
