Eureka Skate Park

If you’re looking for a skate park in the Eureka area, not only will you find one but it’s a good one! The Eureka Skate Park is located on Q Street in Eureka, CA 95501 next to the Cooper Gulch Rec Center. This is a pretty big skate park with smooth concrete, two bowls, a street area, and a nice variety of skate obstacles.

The Eureka Skate Park is open from sunrise to sunset and it is free to skate. The main street area begins a nice flow to the park. There is a good amount of obstacles in the street section of the Eureka Skate Park including boxes, A-frame, and rails. The obstacles and ledges surround the entire park allowing for long runs and great linkage of tricks.

There are two main bowls in the park. The first is a large bowl with two main chambers, one about 6 ft deep and the other around 8 ft deep. The bowl also has multiple ledges all around. This bowl allows you to build up speed and get some air in your run. Both bowls are outlined in coping.

The second bowl is a bit smaller with walls of varying heights and a few ledges.

Overall the Eureka Skate Park is a great park for short boards. It’s great for street riding and getting air out of the bowls. The park has great flow and a variety of obstacles, great for all ages and experience levels. The coping makes it hard to roll into any of these bowls, so it wasn’t the best for cruising around on a longboard. Gonna have to try your skills on the short board to shred here! Remember, cement is hard so wear a helmet!
