Alondra Park LA

As we were cruising around the Los Angeles area, we found Alondra Park which was conveniently located by a skate shop, had a path to hit with our longboards and it had a skate park! So we stopped and checked it out.

Alondra Park is located at 3850 W. Manhattan Beach Boulevard in Lawndale, CA. And it’s right across the street from the South Bay Skates Skate Shop. So after we checked out the skate shop we skated over to check out Alondra Park and Skatepark! Alondra Park has all sorts of stuff to do and it ended up being a great place to stop and have lunch.

There are a bunch of picnic tables for lunch, as well as a playground, a pool, a splash park, a skate park, a lake, and a nice paved path all through the park. The park seemed clean and looked nice with all the palm trees, ducks, and swans in the lake. There were some hobos too, but you’ll find them anywhere in LA.

Quick Cruise on the Alondra Park Path

The path starts at the front of Alondra Park where you’ll notice the words “Skate” and “Splash” on the ground with arrows. The paved path winds around the buildings and follows the perimeter of the lake. It is a nice smooth path the whole way.

The path splits from the lake and goes through another section of the park, with nice grass and trees on either side. This path leads to another playground and section of the park.

We followed this path and came back the same way to the lake. The path continues around the lake to the bridge where you can go out on the island in the middle of the lake!

After following the path around the lake and past the parking lot, you’re back at the buildings where there is a skate park!

About the Alondra Skatepark:

Alondra Park Skatepark

The Alondra Skatepark was pretty nice, but not huge. There is a street area with some boxes and rails. There are also two bowls with coping all the way around. The skatepark is completely fenced in and you’re supposed to get in through the buildings. But don’t worry, the skatepark is free.

Alondra Skatepark obstacles

Overall Alondra Park is really nice! There was one part where families were feeding the ducks/swans right on the path, and that got a little intense since we were cruising on our boards. The birds were everywhere and the people kept throwing food at them. The path around the lake is smooth and the park is beautiful! Be sure to check out the skate shop right across the street!
